Mobile Stage Rental FAQ

Answers to the questions event producers, cities and brands ask us most about renting an APEX mobile stage.

What sizes of mobile stages do you offer?

Our APEX fleet runs from the compact APEX 2016 (20′ × 16′ deck) through the APEX 2424 (24′ × 24′), the APEX 3224 (32′ × 24′) and the APEX 4240 GEN3 (42′ × 40′) to the flagship APEX 5040 GEN3 (50′ × 40′). We also offer The Nest VIP (model 3724), an elevated VIP viewing deck. See every model on the Stage Specs page.

Which stage is right for my event?

It depends on your performers, production rig, audience size and site. As a rule of thumb, the 2016 and 2424 suit community events, speeches and DJs; the 3224 handles full bands; and the 4240 GEN3 and 5040 GEN3 are built for headliners, festivals and full LED video. How long does setup take?

A basic setup on the APEX 2016, 2424 and 3224 takes about an hour and a half. For the larger 4240 GEN3 and 5040 GEN3 we plan load-in around your production schedule. Every APEX stage deploys hydraulically from its own trailer, which is much faster than a conventional scaffold build.

Can the stage go on grass, sand or uneven ground?

Yes. APEX stages use multi-point hydraulic leveling outriggers to set level on parks, beaches, streets, parking lots and fairgrounds. On the 5040 GEN3, six points of contact compensate for up to 24 inches of uneven terrain. Learn more in Any Terrain.

How much weight can the roof hold?

Each model has published, engineered ratings. The 5040 GEN3 carries a 102,000 lb load rating, the 4240 GEN3 roof structure is rated to 97,600 lbs, and the APEX 2016 supports 800 lbs per flybay with 3,400 lbs total roof capacity. Check your plot with our rigging calculators and see Rated for Production.

Can you provide sound, lighting and video too?

Yes. APEX Stages Miami is backed by Reflections Productions, a concert and event production company established in 1977. We can supply professional audio, concert lighting, LED video walls, IMAG cameras and crew with your stage. See Full Production.

Do you deliver outside Miami?

Yes. We are based in Princeton, FL, serve all of South Florida and supply APEX stages nationwide. Tell us your venue and dates when you request a quote.

Will you help with permits and site paperwork?

Permit requirements vary by city and county. We provide the engineering spec sheet for your stage model, which includes dimensions and load ratings commonly requested for permit applications, and we can review your site plan with you before load-in.

What do you need from me to prepare a quote?
